Camelot definitely met our expectations! The house is 4 floors of which 2 were for us whilst other guests were occupying the 2 below. Inside the house has everything you need. The kitchen is very well equipped, the terrace has a gas BBQ (with a view!) and the living has TV with cable, books and table games.

In the bedrooms there is AC included in the price whilst downstairs comes with an additional cost but the breeze does the magic and you don’t need it.

The private beach is perhaps one of the best features someone may dream of. Just at the end of the boardwalk, with shallow waters and incredible colors both in the day and at the sunset. Snorkeling equipment is available as well as chairs and umbrella.

The only small downside is that the house is on a main road and it gets quite noisy in the morning with buses honking to catch passengers from pretty early hours. There are some small windows which you can’t shut and light comes in as of 06,00 in the morning.

Thank you Phillip and Tina

Camelot was exactly what we hoped for in every way. The property sits directly on a beautiful, peaceful beach. You are literally steps away from the sand. The accommodations were exactly as listed.

Very clean and well appointed.

Communication was great from start to finish. The area is walkable to restaurants and we felt very safe. I want to add that there are beach chairs and umbrellas, just as an added bonus.

We could not have enjoyed our stay more. Would highly recommend!

We stayed 3 weeks in Middle Camelot (basically 2nd floor 1 bedroom) with beautiful balcony overlooking the beach.

The first week we also rented the lower Camelot for our 3 daughters which worked out really well.

We like to get out and walk a lot and this location right at the end of he boardwalk was perfect for us. Beach access is right in front of unit with chairs provided along with umbrella and snorkel gear. Walk to restaurants, grocery store, convenience store, little farmers market and coffee shops. We did not have or need a car.

Beautiful location, wonderful vacation with near perfect weather every day.

It’s a popular place and now trying to book some more time – hoping we can arrange a time for us but their calendar is tight.

Pure paradise! I would book this Airbnb again and again. The house had everything you would want. Waking up everyday to the view felt like I was in a movie.

We were able to walk to restaurants, and an IMart for food. Taxis and buses were right outside the front door to go an explore the island.

We went with 8 people and rented the whole house. The owners were so nice, they met us when we got there gave us a tour and were very responsive if we had questions. Do not hesitate to book this house.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

Absolutely loved our stay! Amazing location, lots of restaurants/bars in close proximity. The apartment was just like the pictures, excellent value for money.

Phillip and Tina were both very responsive, answering all of our questions and providing lots of recommendations.

Would definitely come back 🙂

An excellent place to stay. Zero complaints.
A terrific location – The house is right on the beach which is really quite private and peaceful.

The house is on the main road too but is super quiet, you can walk to tons of bars, restaurants & different beaches. It’s only maybe a 15-20 minutes walk in to Bridgetown itself, but there are constantly buses or taxis going up the road every couple minutes if you prefer not to walk.
Everything in the house was spotless, nothing to complain about. Everything as advertised.

We landed really late, at roughly 11pm. The house was probably a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport. Check in was still very simple.

Our host was very communicative, gave everything we needed prior to our flight landing but also very detailed instructions on self check in and also offered a lot of recommendations for things to do during our trip.

Overall, very good. Would highly recommend.

Lower Camelot is a Barbados gem!

The wonderful balcony was where we spent the majority of our time on the property. The balcony, outfitted with a shower and furniture including two sun loungers is private to Lower Camelot, not shared with guests of the middle and upper units.

It was great to be able to use the amazing beach and swim in the ocean, and have your choice of sun or shade on the balcony, out of the sand. You will be visited by many crabs! The beach and the ocean were fabulous at all times of the day, Amazing sunsets! There were beach chairs and towels provided.

The unit looked nicer in person than it appears in the photos. The bedroom was large and clean, the bed and pillows, very comfortable. The kitchen, not used much because of the great food options nearby, but was fully outfitted. Felt very safe in the property and area. Street was quite busy during the day.

Tina was a huge help, arranging a taxi from the Airport, as well as booking us a wonderful Catamaran cruise.

Absolutely stunning apartment. We fell in love with the veranda over looking the beach and sea. The bed was large and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped and had equally as beautiful views across the bay. Well worth a stay.

Jason welcomed us to the apartment and showed us inside, then gave us recommendations on what to do in the surrounding area during our stay, which was very welcomed.

Overall 10/10. We will certainly look to return in the future. Thank you very much

The apartment was beautiful and the location was breath taking, we loved our stay. Tina and Phillip were always friendly and responsive. They very kindly offered to do our shopping before we arrived for a small fee.

They also took the time to give us a low down on all the local shops and restaurants which transformed our trip.

They also helped organise a return taxi to the airport, so overall, they were excellent hosts and we could thoroughly recommend them.

We had a great stay at Camelot house. The house is in the most spectacular spot! Camelot is perfectly positioned in front of a little cove that is completely idyllic.

It’s an easy 2 min an walk into Hastings along the boardwalk which extends for about a mile along the coast.

Philip and Tina were great and able to answer questions throughout.

We would absolutely stay at Camelot again!

We stayed 10 days at the Upper Camelot and it was even more amazing than what you see in the photos! Check-in was easy, Tina and Jason were there when we arrived and gave us the low-down on our place as well as some helpful tips on the community and Barbados!

The house is perfection! It’s right on the beach, you just head out your door and down the stairs and there you are! There are two balconies overlooking the beach as well, one huge one off the living-room and one off the main bedroom.

It’s within walking distance to lots of local amenities and you can get to everything by talking a beautiful boardwalk along the beach!

I highly recommend booking the Upper Camelot, we would definitely stay there again! You won’t be disappointed!

This place is absolutely wonderful. The location is very convenient. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. You’re a few steps from the start of the boardwalk.

The beach in front on the unit is quiet and there are lounge chairs available.

The hosts are very helpful, and were able to help us out on short notice when we needed something. The unit is very spacious, kitchen had everything we needed. The view from both balconies is amazing.

This is an excellent property, very spacious, great layout, good facilities, fantastic views and it’s on the beach. Bed in master bedroom was big and very comfortable. Large showers in both bathrooms that worked well. Big fridge. Very helpfull, prompt and good communication from the owner. We had a fantastic and very relaxing two weeks here. Easy 20 minute drive from the airport. We really liked the location, easy walk to restaurants and bars, especially along the boardwalk. This is definitely a property we’d use again, can’t recommend highly enough.

Our visit to Camelot was a much needed family beach holiday and we were so excited to see the beautiful beach house and views were just like the pictures!! There is a beautiful boardwalk steps from the back door. We enjoyed the convenience it offered as well as the quiet of the sheltered beach area directly in front of the house. The interior of the beach house was immaculate and what you can’t see from pics is that the mattresses are very comfortable, much appreciated! We hope to return and thanks Mark for sharing this home with others! A beautiful gem!

Overall this was a great apartment to spend a week in. The proximity to the beach and highway was really convenient, and the view is obviously beautiful. That said, in an attempt to make this review useful, here are some things that aren’t obvious by looking at the listing: * Has air conditioning in every room in the apartment, not just in the bedrooms.

This home is absolutely magical. It is 2 stories with 2 absolutely gorgeous balconies, a very large kitchen, and very tall ceilings in the bedrooms. The view, the space, the location and the service were stunning. I hope to be lucky enough to stay here again. Thank you SO much!

A Beautiful Gem in Barbados - 5/5, HomeAway

My husband and I have stayed at Camelot house six years in a row, and can’t imagine staying anywhere else when we travel to Barbados each winter. The location cannot be beat – it is right off the boardwalk on the south coast, which allows us to enjoy our morning walk/run right outside our door. Everything is within walking distance – great restaurants, shopping, groceries, and anywhere else you may wish to go is accessible by the local ZR vans (look for the white vans with the burgundy stripe on the side – listen for their wide variety of horn signals as well!) or by blue or yellow buses, which provide safe and efficient travel across the island for $1 US each way. You don’t need a car – although having said that, we finally summoned up the courage to rent a car and will definitely do so in the future again, even for a few days, it’s well worth it to have a car to get to some of the more out of the way spots – such as Little Bay or St. Nicholas Abbey. Beaches are plentiful and varied – if you have young children, the shallow pools in front of Camelot House are perfect, and a little farther in is a deeper ‘swimming pool’, which is the perfect size with calm water, backed and surrounded by a rock reef. At the end of the boardwalk to the left of Camelot is Accra Beach which has more vigorous waves. Going to the right leads to Coconut Court, where you can spend the day lounging under the delightful span of coconut palms, and enjoy their wonderful rum punch and two extremely reasonably priced happy hours at their beach bar. Lower Camelot has the most expansive and fabulous deck which we absolutely adore. The first time we rented this place, we spent the majority of our time simply savouring the view and stayed on the deck a good portion of the day. After six times, we still enjoy the view and the exotic tree which has grown around and become a staple feature of the deck, with its welcoming and necessary shade particularly in the afternoon. There is comfortable furniture in the living area, cable TV and movies, which we watch in the evenings. The kitchen doesn’t have an oven, which is the one thing we desperately miss. The tiny toaster style oven takes a lot longer to cook food in, but at least there is some type of an oven as I love to cook my fresh fish in an oven. The king size bed is firm and very comfortable, and also has a mosquito net overtop in case you wish to leave the windows open at night.

Our home away from home! - 5/5, HomeAway

We have no hesitation in giving Upper Camelot 5* as it was perfect in every way. We booked for next year while we were there. The location is amazing as you are right on one of the most beautiful beaches. Every day we watched turtles from the verandas and sat mesmerised by the brilliant turquoise colours. We used the sun-loungers from the SoCo (next door) as the hotel wasn’t full and they seemed quite relaxed about this. However, there are sun-loungers provided in Camelot. It is just a few steps to the water’s edge and we were able to wallow for hours. The proximity of Camelot meant that we could nip in for drinks etc. whenever we wanted. We fell in love with the design of the house and admired the wonderful timber ceilings and the unusual shapes. The doors are particularly interesting as they finish at a point (hard to describe!). Mark also designed and made most of the furniture so that it all co-ordinates. The beds have cute pineapple cut-outs in the head boards and the coffee tables are inlaid with the same tiles as the bathrooms. The terraces are particularly beautiful; we sat on the top one for early morning coffee and then moved down to the larger one off the lounge for breakfast, lunch and to watch the sun go down. There are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby and we dined out each night. We particularly loved Tapas, Naru and Champers. It’s well worth booking ahead to get water-side tables. We also love the Coffee Barbados Cafe for breakfasts and lunches. it is nearby, in the grounds of the George Washington House. We could easily have cooked in Camelot if we’d wanted to as the kitchen was well-equipped. There is a little farmer’s market nearby on Wednesdays and Saturdays where you can buy artisan breads etc. We thought the food in Barbados had gone up significantly since last year, both in supermarkets and when dining out. This must be awful for the locals who earn so little. We decided not to hire a car as prices are really expensive and we were quite happy to use the local ZR buses for trips to restaurants etc. A tip – if a bus roars up and screeches to a halt, maybe wait for the next one to come along as the driver will most probably continue driving in this reckless manner. Some are steady and others seem to have a death wish. It’s fun to travel with the locals, though, and they are very friendly. The ZR buses cost 2BD, wherever you go. Mark was a gracious host who went out of his way to welcome us.

Tropical Bliss! - 5/5, HomeAway

This is just a short note to say that we all very much enjoyed our stay at Lower Camelot from the 3rd to 13th December. It was a great experience for our family and one we shall remember fondly. We would also like to thank you and the housekeeping staff for looking after us – they were very unobtrusive but very efficient.

A big thank you to you for allowing us the use of the premises on our last day which made a massive difference to us before we set off for the airport – it was very much appreciated by all of us, so thank you.

Now we are home and back at work and the usual daily life with temperatures of -5C at the moment. It’s not the same having a rum punch in your house with the heating on and no sun!!

Anyway Alexis thanks again for your input to our special holiday.

Best Wishes
Garry, Agnes, David and Amy.

This is a perfect property in every sense of word: location, decor, balcony views, amenities. It’s within walking distance of great restaurants and shopping. My husband and I were just thrilled with the place and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a break from winter weather. In terms of pricing, it’s an incredible bargain!

Villa was awesome, been to Barbados more times then I can count and have to say this place is at the top of my list of places to stay at. Everything you need is walking distance. The boardwalk is a bonus, takes you to other beaches as well as restaurants.

The Unit itself is very spacious and everything you need to feel like you’re at home. The sunsets are awesome at the end of the day when sitting out on the deck with your rum punch.

We will definitely be returning soon!!

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Upper Camelot and can honestly say that it is the best apartment we have ever rented! Upper Camelot was perfect for our family, we have 2 teenagers, one male and one female, so their bedroom was very large and actually had 3 single beds in it and therefore was not a problem for them to share the room. The apartment is so well equipped which does make it feel like a home from home.

We thoroughly enjoyed having our breakfast on the balcony each morning, staring out at the spectacular sea view. We even spotted sea turtles on several occasions.

The location of the apartment is very convenient, close to supermarkets, restaurants and bus stops if you wish to travel around.

On arrival, we were met by Alexis who is very friendly and informative. Should there have been any issues then she was only a phone call away but we did not need to call her as everything went smoothly. We would not hesitate to recommend Camelot to family and friends. We only arrived back home this morning but we are missing it already. We hope to return one day.

We needed a place to accommodate 11 the first week and 5 the second week, as our adult kids & their friends joined us the first week. Camelot House turned out to be the perfect place. By renting the whole place the first week, 11 of us enjoyed ourselves and didn’t feel cramped. The second week, we had just the upstairs apartment and it worked great.

Alexis is so helpful in the planning stages. She answered all our questions and did a little shopping for us, so we would have some basic foods after our late arrival. We only had one issue with an electrical outlet not working and it was fixed within 2 days. We knew Alexis was only a phone call away, if needed. Juliette does such a wonderful job of cleaning and is such a wonderful ambassador of Barbados, as she is so friendly and welcoming.

The beach right off the back porch has a rocks to ease the waves and provide a small pool area. It is so nice that it is also popular with the locals and we were able to meet a number of Barbadians while going for a swim. One recommended The Stream restaurant, where he works, and it turned out to be an excellent dinner.

We would certainly stay at the Camelot House again when we visit Barbados again.

We stayed at Lower Camelot this year for a 2 week period. We have been return customers for a few years now and have also stayed at the Upper Camelot last year. Camelot House has everything you need for a relax getaway. The view is unbeatable and the location is walking distance to some very nice restaurants. The farmer’s market nearby is now open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. A very convenient place to stock up on fresh produce. Grocery stores are also easy to get to by bus with a bus stop right next door.

The Upper Camelot is very spacious with a full kitchen. The Lower Camelot though smaller, has an unbeatable veranda with its very own almond tree which provides ample shade and privacy. Mark Hiorns (owner) and Alexis (property manager) are very friendly and always reachable for any assistance required. They take very good care of their clientele.

This house is suited to both couples or families and is safe and secure. Easy to lock up at night. The beach is safe for young children. We are already booked for next year and look forward to another blissful holiday.
